Gas Valves

Gas safety valves are the primary control mechanism in every gas cooking and heating appliance. They regulate gas flow, provide precise flame adjustment, and incorporate safety systems that automatically shut off gas supply in the event of flame failure.

Key Features

  • Flame Failure Protection: Automatic gas shut-off within seconds if the flame is extinguished
  • Multi-Gas Compatibility: Adaptable to multiple gas types with simple conversion kits
  • Precision Flow Control: Exact gas flow regulation from minimum to maximum output
  • Long Service Life: Performance validated across hundreds of thousands of operating cycles

Applications

  • Built-in and freestanding cooking hobs
  • Gas ovens (domestic and semi-professional)
  • Freestanding gas cookers and ranges
  • Gas water heaters and boilers
  • Professional and commercial kitchen equipment

Materials & Construction

  • Brass valve body for corrosion resistance and durability
  • Stainless steel internal components
  • Precision-machined gas passages for accurate flow control
  • Integrated thermocouple-magnet safety system connections

Compliance

All safety valves comply with EN 257, EN 126, and EN 30-1-1 European safety standards. Products are CE marked and suitable for global market deployment with appropriate regional certifications.

✓ CE Marked • EN 257 • EN 126 • EN 30-1-1

Thermocouples

Critical safety components used in gas appliances to detect flame presence and ensure safe operation. When exposed to heat, the thermocouple generates an electrical signal that keeps the gas valve open.

Technical Specifications

  • Fast response time (typically 1-3 seconds activation/deactivation)
  • High resistance to thermal cycling and flame exposure
  • Compatible with standard gas valves and magnetic safety systems
  • Available in multiple connection types (thread, faston, coaxial)
  • Customizable lengths, fittings, and sensor sensitivities
  • Operating voltage: typically 25-35 mV at operating temperature

Available Types

Single Wire Thermocouples
Faston connection. Conductivity carried via the metal surface of the hob. Contact obtained with thread and nut block.

Double Wire Thermocouples
Available in Faston connection (with ground wire for safe fastening) and Coaxial connection (designed for fast, precise assembly with Jack and Mini-Jack isolators).

Magnet Units

Safety-critical components used in gas control systems to ensure gas flow is maintained only when a flame is present. Working with thermocouples, they form the core of the flame supervision system.

How Magnet Units Work

The operating principle is based on thermoelectric energy. The user manually opens the gas valve by pressing the control knob. A pilot flame heats the thermocouple tip, which generates a low-voltage electrical signal. This signal energizes the electromagnetic coil, and the magnetic field holds the valve open. If the flame is extinguished, the signal drops instantly and the valve closes automatically. This system operates entirely without external power.

Technical Specifications

  • Operation with thermocouple-generated millivolt signals (~20 mA holding current)
  • Fast safety response with immediate shut-off upon flame failure
  • Lifecycle performance exceeding 100,000 cycles
  • Compatible with standard gas valve bodies and flame supervision systems
  • Multiple sizes, configurations, and sealing options

Product Range

  • Compact magnet units for space-constrained designs
  • Standard units for domestic cooking appliances
  • High-temperature resistant units for professional equipment
  • Variants with different head sizes and sealing configurations
✓ EN Compliant • Multi-Gas Compatible

Switch Harness

Electrical components used to activate the ignition system in gas appliances by generating a signal when the control knob is operated, ensuring safe and controlled ignition.

Technical Specifications

  • Input voltage: typically 120 VAC with low current consumption
  • Dual compatibility with AC and DC systems
  • Operating temperature rating up to 150°C
  • Lifecycle durability: 10,000-35,000 switching cycles
  • Snap-on mounting design compatible with various gas valves

Advantages

  • Reliable ignition triggering on every operation
  • Easy installation with snap-on mounting system
  • Customizable configurations for specific OEM requirements
  • Consistent electrical performance throughout rated lifecycle
  • Wide compatibility with valve types from multiple manufacturers

Ignition & Control Accessories

Supporting components including electrodes, connectors, injectors, brackets, and fittings that ensure proper assembly and operation of gas ignition systems.

Technical Specifications

  • Wide range of connectors and fittings for system integration
  • High-temperature resistant materials for durability
  • Compatibility with standard ignition and safety systems
  • Available in multiple sizes and configurations
  • Designed for easy installation and maintenance

Applications

These accessories support both standard installations and customized solutions, enabling manufacturers to optimize system performance and assembly efficiency across cooking hobs, ovens, gas ranges, and commercial kitchen equipment.

Oxygen Depletion System (ODS)

A safety device used in gas appliances to monitor oxygen levels and automatically shut off the gas supply when oxygen drops below a safe threshold.

Description

The Oxygen Depletion System (ODS) is a safety device used in gas appliances to monitor the oxygen level in the surrounding environment and automatically shut off the gas supply when oxygen drops below a safe threshold. It is primarily used in appliances such as gas heaters, ovens, and cooking systems operating in enclosed spaces.

The system operates through a specially designed pilot burner integrated with a thermocouple. Under normal oxygen conditions, the pilot flame maintains stable combustion, allowing the thermocouple to generate sufficient voltage to keep the gas valve open. When oxygen levels decrease, the flame characteristics change, reducing thermocouple output. This causes the magnet unit to release and the gas valve to close immediately, ensuring safe operation without external sensors or electronic systems.

How ODS Works

The ODS operates based on flame behavior and thermoelectric response:

  • A pilot burner generates a controlled flame
  • The thermocouple is heated by the flame and produces voltage
  • This voltage keeps the magnet unit energized
  • When oxygen levels drop, the flame becomes unstable or lifts
  • The thermocouple cools and voltage decreases
  • The magnet unit releases and the gas valve shuts off automatically

This system is entirely mechanical and thermoelectric, requiring no external power source.

Technical Specifications

  • Integrated pilot burner with thermocouple welded directly onto the burner
  • Single-flame burner design with horizontal flame exit
  • Energy consumption approximately 166 W
  • Compatible with various gas types (Natural Gas and LPG configurations)
  • Available with different gas connections (e.g., 4 mm, 6 mm, 1/4" pilot tubes)

Key Features

  • Oxygen-Level Safety Monitoring: Automatically shuts off gas supply when oxygen concentration drops below safe limits
  • Thermoelectric Operation: Works with thermocouple and magnet unit without electronic sensors
  • Integrated Design: Pilot burner, thermocouple, and safety system combined into one compact assembly
  • Reliable Flame Supervision: Uses flame behavior as a direct indicator of environmental conditions
  • Flexible Configurations: Available with various brackets, thermocouple types, and mounting options

Product Range

  • Versions with or without thermopile support
  • One-wire or interrupted thermocouple configurations
  • Multiple bracket designs for different mounting systems
  • Variants for different gas types and injector sizes
  • Configurations with integrated magnet and spark components

Applications

  • Gas room heaters
  • Gas ovens and cooking appliances
  • Portable gas heaters
  • Caravan and RV heating systems
  • Commercial gas heating equipment
✓ Natural Gas • LPG • Propane • Butane
